Rex took a deep breath was she rolled her shoulders back generously was she looked at the odd trail she was fallowing. Yet, she was more interested in the faint scent that laid just on top of the ground it had to have been hours old. Though her curiosity was getting the best of her she was getting pissed off at the same time. She was up in this terrain not to track but to train herself. Tracking came quite easily for her it was her strength that she had her main problems with. She vaguely remembered herself crushing her own brothers arm with just her hand but that’s because he wouldn’t listen to her when she wanted him to.. After all it was his own fault for not listening to his, charming, over whelmed sister at the time.
Rex pushed out the memories with a slight shake of the head before pulling her hair back tightly into a high ponytail. She had forgotten that she had taken the hair down to relieve the on coming headache. But, it was slowly making its way out of her temples which was an upside because she knew she couldn’t continue training until she found out what was going on with this strange scent. Dodging a quick glance at the broken trees Rex gave in to her temptation, fallowing the small winding path that seemed to go on forever. The scent seemed to get stronger as she fallowed it, it was musky with a slight hint of something sweet like sugar but mostly musky.
“If its something I am going to regret getting into why am I fallowing it?”
Of course she knew the answer, I wouldn’t run away from it or something along those lines. It wasn’t like she was running into a death trap or anything. On the other Hand it was rather difficult for her not to get into trouble and then spicing things up so she can give them the slip. The only thing that was the problem was that there was no booze involved in this one. The noises in the forest was drop dead silenced as well which wasn’t unnerving it happened to her a lot actually. Rex came to a stop next to a broken tree, healthy in all its was the green moss on the outside seemed to make it smile at her. She didn’t smile back of course her loose clothing was a little torn she was sweaty.
Which meant that if the thing that she was fallowing had a good nose on a high note they’d smell her coming. She didn’t care but on a low note they could ambush her, which sounded like fun in the slightest way she could be the HBIC that she really is. Rex looked down briefly at her standard running shoes, she of course had track spikes on the bottom of her shoes which gave her a boost in speed. But, as she quickly noted as she checked her last water bottle that she held tightly in her hand. She was running low. It made her smile a bit that meant that she’d have to leave this forest. Yet again as she looked at the quickly setting sun. It would be better if she set up camp because she wouldn’t make it to her car in time.
“Well kuso.”
Her eyebrows scrunched together as she shifted into the direction where it smelt like there was some sort of water source before abandoning her little trail. Now she understood why her brother, Hunter always drilled her about woods safety. She of course was very glad that she had brought a tent, sleeping bag, and other small odds and ends that could get her through the night and into the next day. But, something heavy made her think she wasn’t alone it was the same feeling she had with “him” the one from Japan. Rex knew she was in for a little trouble in some way but she didn’t know. Shaking off that feeling she soon ran into a pound it didn’t take long no more than 15 minutes give or take. Then another 35 to set up camp, get a fire going, and make a make shift fishing pole. She felt stupid but she had watched her brother do it way before he joined the marines. It worked for him and why not for herself? With that thought she laughed quietly to herself while throwing her line into the water.
