Physical Description: Dark hair and eyes, stands 6'0", well built from years of working on his parents' farm before he left and went to college.

History: Eric was born in 1978 to Maria and Manny Ortiz in Austin, Texas. His sister Adriana was born in 1980. Eric and his sister grew up on their parents' isolated farm with nothing but the few farm hands and their parents. He and his sister worked on the farm feeding the animals and helping to keep the farm afloat.
After high school, Eric and Adriana both went to college, one at Texas A&M the other at the University of North Texas. While away at college, their parents' farm was attacked by a group of rogue werewolves. Everyone was killed. Bounty hunters went after the wolves and killed them. Eric and Adriana sold the farm and Adriana transferred to the University of North Texas with Eric. Eric was majoring in Criminal Justice and graduated with honors.
After graduation, he went to the police academy and graduated near the top of class there also. He went to work for the Dallas police department and quickly moved up the ranks. He's now being offered either Mckenzie Jamison's job if Mckenzie leaves or get fired or either be offered the newly opening Captain's position which would put him outranking Mckenzie and Mckenzie reporting to him.
