[Gates]

They were wary and had every right to be. If he was honest with himself, he had to admit the validity of Zachary’s concerns. Sadly, he could not allow that to deter him. They needed the strength that each could offer without at times the restraint. This in his estimation was the only way. Smiling as the high points were hit and rehit he looked form one to the other. He waited a fe beats longer than he needed to allowing the moment to build and giving chance for any further questions to be tossed out. When nothing materialized he spoke.

"The guiding hand will be each of us in turn. He or she who needs the bulk of our strength most. It will also alert each of us where we are needed for as strong as we are proximity only strengthens our abilities. In matters of caution bent towards longevity I will take the wheel. In matters of assassination and stealth Zachary/Eliachem, In matters of statecraft and fellowship Nadine. This is of course the strengths as I see them now but once joined there may arise other avenues where one or more of us have hidden talents that can be used to solidify our bases and strengthen our holds on our domains." He paused allowing what he was saying to sink in. "Yes we each have secrets. We each have things we feel might be better kept hidden. But as I have hidden the very essence of my life and what I am yet am willing to open all to each of you should stand as reason how importantly I feel this."

Standing he moved closer to them. “ I was born long ago before the arise of the European council. I have watched things rise fall and change. The one thing that has any longevity is true comradeship and the loyalty of like minds. This is what I know I believe I have found a closeness with each of you that I would not lose if there is anyway. And this is that way. In the end the decision is yours but know this may very well be our last opportunity to do what good we can and continue. Each of you have made gains and done what none thought possible. You each have created the previously unbelieved and survived. I would hazard much to see you both forever upon this globe but power be damned having created things and built there will always be those who want to tear down destroy and pillage. How long Zachary before someone challenges your name and city. How Long Nadine before the hard fought peace we have now is tossed by the way side and another agent comes for you. How long before the city I cultivate is besieged again?”

[Nadine Noel]

Nadine listened to Gates and knew he was right. It had it's ways that it go to hell but it also had the potential to be the biggest power share ever. Nadine had always suspected Gates was keeping things from her but she didn't feel like it was things that would hurt her or her city. She also knew that when she send Ashwin and Lucian to the council in their current condition that she most definitely would be getting a visit and a possible assassination attempt for simply not letting Ashwin kill her like he'd been sent to do.

"Yes, Gates you're right. I'm sure when I return Ashwin to the council I will find myself neck deep in vampires and none of them will be my friends." She turned and looked at Zachary for a minute then glanced back to Gates. "After all, I have taken out my former master and the council's executioner. I'm sure they're still pissed about the whole Abelinda ordeal."

Nadine wasn't upset that she'd killed Abelinda with Zachary's help. She was only upset that she'd put her vampire and her wolves in danger because of it. Without a human servant, preferably one with powers, Nadine was a sitting duck. She'd gotten lucky this time because Bane had gotten help.

"Okay, Gates. Let's say we do this." She stopped to think about what she wanted to say. "Say we do this and one of us dies, say me since I'm probably the weakest of the three of us. What happens to the two of you? Do you die with me?" She shook her head, shaking the thought away.

[Bane]

Bane and Jordana were just finishing another round and Jordana was trying to catch her breath. He'd decided he could be like Nadine. Nadine had taken her animal to call to her bed as a lover at one time. Most masters enjoyed the company of their animal to call and he'd discovered he was no different. So now that he'd taken one of the leopards to bed. He planned on keeping her close assuming her Nimir-Raj didn't mind. What little he'd seen of Remy, Remy seemed like a good guy.

He looked over at Jordana and smiled. The sex had been amazing and he was reasonable sure the entire of the were-animals in attendance probably knew what they'd done but he didn't care.
"You want to stay over or do you have to go home?" Bane asked turning to look at her. Her eyes had turned back to their original color. During the sex her eyes had shifted and he'd had to pin her hands above her head because her hands had shifted.

[Jordana Dane]

She shook her head at him. She would stay. She didn't know if she'd be willing to stay after he died or whatever happened to him when the sun rose but for right now, yeah she wanted to stay.
"Yes, I'd like to stay." She looked over at him and smiled. "Do you think Nadine will mind?" The last thing she wanted was to get in trouble with the Master because she'd stayed over. If she were a wolf she wouldn't be worried about it but as a leopard and not Nadine's animal to call, she was a little worried.

[Remy LeBeau]

He stifled a guffaw. Trying to look taken aback "what.. No never tired of.. Ok you got me I think after the battling and power I just need a vacation from my homecoming plus there's the feeling that I'm more a figure head then actually leadership of anything and part of me is so great with that..other part of me feels like a schmuck or doormat.."

He shrugged and in true remy fashion slapped the smile back in place a la his home city. Good times roll and all that. Odly gates for the brief time hed been around the guy had smelled like home some. He'd heard from others that in fact the man was master of nola. Which meant he might need to intro him self incase for his next visit.

[Natasha Donovan]

Natasha nodded at him. She could understand that but also knew what few leopards were around didn't come by a lot. Jordana stayed with the wolves because the had had unreliable leadership until now.
"I don't believe anyone thinks of you as just a figure head." She paused and then looked back at him. "The leopards have never had a leader for more than few month before the leader disappeared. You seem like you're the stay and get it done type but we all have to get used to the idea that the leopards have a good leader for a change."
Natasha gave him a big smile.
"Give Jordana a change, she's not used to dealing with other leopards...are let's just sat she's had a rough time and the wolves took her in. As for Bane, Jordana is the only leopard he's had contact with."

[David Meeks]

David was close enough to hear the conversation. He didn't interrupt. He turned and made his way toward an exit. His wolves didn't need him to make it home and the estate was crawling with guards so it should be fine to leave the wolves and let them come home on their own. He took one last look in Natasha's direction and left.


(David exits the party)

[Bane]

Bane smiled at Jordana.
"Nadine won't mind if you stay." Bane said. He knew the party was probably starting to wound down but he wasn't sure. He wasn't going downstairs to find out either. He'd worry about it later. He got out of bed and went around and picked Jordana up.
"Let's take a shower and then go to sleep. Sound like a good idea?" He asked walking into his bathroom.

[Jordana Dane]

Jordana let Bane take to the shower. When they finished and he toted her back to bed she was to tired to think about the fact that he would die at sunrise or to think about how Nadine would react that she was staying over or for that matter, anything. She fell asleep immediately after Bane put her to bed.


(Jordana and Bane exiting thread)

[Remy LeBeau]

He contemplated what was said and nodded. He wasn't here to play daddy she was grown up and could interact with who she chose. He really didn't want to go making enemies of people. " Well she's not alone now but I understand hopefully she will come to trust me."

He looked around noticed the crowd thinning" so I am probably gonna blow this popsicle stand and go get a drink. Care to accompany me?"

[Natasha Donovan]

Natasha smiled and nodded.
"Sure, let's get out of here." She liked Remy, there was something about youth and power at the same time that was appealing. And he wasn't any of the wolves which Natasha was also glad about. She still had to talk to David but she thought that would be later maybe tomorrow.

[Remy LeBeau]

Snagging her arm through his he lead her to the door briefly glancing back toward where the masters had disappeared then shrugged and out he went with the pretty wolf woman on his arm.
